Breakneck Speed

You know what would be a pretty sweet gig? Being in an awesome band. Just watch the video for "Breakneck Speed" by Tokyo Police Club and see what I mean. Sure looks like a lifestyle I could get used to! What makes it even better for these guys is that they were all really good friends before they were a band, so I imagine that makes the experience of being in a band even better. I find myself continually listening to, loving, and buying their songs and what makes it even better is that they sound great live. The lead singer/bassist (who does a phenomenal job at both) David Monks, did an acoustic set with spinner.com's The Interface and with his distinct and strong vocals, his rendition of the songs were just as enjoyable as the originals. Recently they completed 10 covers in 10 days from 10 years, though I haven't had the chance to check those out yet. For now, I will just put Breakneck Speed on repeat and if you would like to join me, Baeblemusic podcast on iTunes has a great live video of it that you can download for free so enjoy!
